The YMCA of the Fox Cities is ready and willing to accommodate local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops with water badge testing. Each YMCA facility is unique and certain locations can provide different opportunities for badge testing.
Some examples of skills that can be learned through our Scout Badge Testing program are:
1. Learning the proper use and care of a Personal Flotation Device
2. Survival swimming
3. The importance of swimming with a buddy
4. Endurance swimming
5. Rescue skills
6. Basic First Aid
7. And more!
Current badges offered are:
• Brownie Try It Sports and Games
• Jr. Girl Scout Water Fun
• Jr. Girl Scout Swimming
• Boy Scout Belt Loop
• Boy Scout Sports Pin
• Webelos Aquanaut Pin
• Boy Scout Advance Swim Requirements - 1st and 2nd Class
We recommend that you contact the facility’s Aquatic Director to discuss what options are available at their individual facility.
The cost per badge is $3 per student. For more information, please contact any Aquatic Management staff!
