YMCA SUMMER SCHOOL AGE | FERBER & JANET BERRY
For children ages 5-12 (must have completed 4K). The YMCA Summer School Age Program is held at both Ferber and Janet Berry schools. Camp is built around weekly themes. Our program is built around the interests of the children which provides them with a fun, engaging, safe and creative environment for the summer. Campers get the opportunity to participate in open swim at the Appleton YMCA twice a week and a handful of field trips. Fieldtrip locations have not been determined, but the dates in listed in the weekly themes below.
Half days are available if your child is in summer school.
Weekly Themes:
Week 1: June 10-14 Intro to camp
- Come join us for week 1 where you will learn all summer camp has to offer.
Week 2: June 17-21 Under the Sea
Field trip: TBD Tuesday, June 18. Half-day afternoon trip.
- Explore the ocean through crafts, games, and activities!
Week 3: June 24-28 Game Show
- Join us this week to play games all week long! Each day we will be playing games that are on TV.
Week 4: July 1-3 Christmas in July
- Celebrate the holidays this short week!
Week 5: July 8-12 Pokémon
- Fieldtrip: TBD Tuesday July 9
- Come hang out and catch them all! This week we will explore the world of Pokémon!
Week 6: July 15-19 Cartoon Week
- Fieldtrip: TBD Tuesday, July 16
- Join us as we transport into the world of make believe and all our favorite fairy tales.
Week 7: July 22-26 Disney
- Fieldtrip: TBD Tuesday, July 23
- Using our favorite movies as inspiration we have a week full of Disney activities planned.
Week 8: July 29-August 2 Sports
- Fieldtrip: TBD Tuesday, July 30
- Join us as we try new sports with community partners!
Week 9: August 5-9 Space
- Fieldtrip: Camp Shioc Wednesday, August 7
- Go out into space this week we have cool crafts and activities set up this week!
Week 10: August 12-16 Superhero
- Family Night at each school Tuesday, August 13.
- Be your favorite hero this week! We have an action pack week set up!

Important Information:
- Meals/Snacks - Participants must provide their own lunch and two snacks daily
- Optional Group Swim Lessons - offered weekly at the Appleton YMCA
