NEW! Adult field trips are one-day trips to local destinations designed to explore all the amazing things the Fox Cities has to offer while learning and connecting with others. We take the work out of planning, all you need to do is sign up and meet us there!

Please note that transportation is not provided for these trips, and it is your responsibility to meet at the trip location at the designated time.

APPLETON LOCKS KAYAK TRIP

11:00 AM-2:00 PM

Traverse four historic locks, experiencing a controlled drop of more than forty feet from launch to take out on this guided trip. Enjoy nearly 2 hours on the water with a leisurely paddle to Sunset Point. No experience needed.

BUTTERFLIES/MONARCHS AT HECKRODT

Join a Heckrodt Wetland Reserve naturalist to examine the life of a Monarch butterfly. We will find out about their extraordinary life cycle. Then visit the prairie to discover these orange and black beauties and maybe even see some up close!

DOTY ISLAND KAYAK TRIP

Paddle along Doty Island’s shoreline passing Kimberly Point Lighthouse to experience two different channels as well as Lake Winnebago. Paddle under bridges and past historic homes, and enjoy nearly 2 hours on the water throughout this guided tour. No experience needed.

HONEYBEES AT HECKRODT

Join a Heckrodt Wetland Reserve naturalist to discover the life of the honeybee and learn about their unique life cycle. We will take a walk over to the beehives to get a peek inside the hive and explore the prairie, where we will find honeybees and other pollinators in their natural habitat.
