At the YMCA of the Fox Cities, we believe that wellness is for everyone - no matter your age, background or fitness level. YMCA group fitness programs are designed to bring communities together and improve physical health.
Whether you're looking to boost your energy, balance work and wellness, or focus on staying active as you age, the Y has classes for you. We don’t just build strong bodies - we build strong minds and lasting connections.
Why Group Fitness?
Group fitness is more than just a workout. It’s a chance to move with purpose, connect with others, and feel-good inside and out. Physical activity helps reduce stress, promote mental well-being, and improve physical health.
At the Y, our group fitness classes are built around the community. You’ll find a welcoming space where everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes can thrive. Our certified instructors lead with encouragement, and our members support each other every step of the way.

Fitness for Every Age and Stage
The Y is here for you at every stage of life. Our group fitness programs align with national health guidelines to ensure you’re getting the right kind of movement for your age and needs.
According to CDC’s Physical Activity Guidelines:
- Adults (18–64): Should aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate activity per week, plus two days of strength training. Our diverse class schedule makes it easy to fit into your routine.
- Older Adults (65+): Benefit from a mix of aerobic, strength and balance activities. We offer a variety of ForeverWell-friendly classes designed with these members in mind.
- Pregnant & Postpartum Women: Moderate-intensity activity supports both physical and mental health during and after pregnancy. Most of our group exercises classes can be adapted for women at every stage of pregnancy.
- People with Chronic Conditions or Disabilities: Group fitness can improve quality of life, reduce symptoms, and foster a sense of belonging. From LIVESTRONG at the YMCA to Pedaling for Parkinsons, we offer programs to help get you, and keep you on track with your health.
