LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA
A 12 week program designed for cancer survivors who have recently become de-conditioned or chronically fatigued from their treatment and or disease.
Participants work with YMCA staff trained in supportive cancer care to safely achieve their goals such as building muscle mass and strength, increase flexibility and endurance; and improving confidence and self-esteem.
By focusing on the whole person and not the disease, LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is helping people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind, and body.
While enrolled in this free program Survivors and their caregiver will receive all the benefits of the Y membership and may utilize the facility, participate in value-added or designated classes. But they must also be actively participating in the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA exercise program to receive this benefit.
