Mixing both classroom time with in-pool instruction, Kayak Essentials class covers a solid introductory curriculum including kayak types, PFDs and essential paddle gear, boat entry, wet exit (optional for those who intend to paddle skirted boats), paddle strokes, and assisted rescue principles. Course designed for entry-level to intermediate paddle experience participants.
