WELCOME to the 2022 YMCA of the Fox Cities Adult Bus Trip season!
Here at the Y, our core values are caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, so we do our best to provide programming and an atmosphere that reflects these values. Our objective in offering these trips is to provide an enriching, educational and fun experience for our members and the community.
The Y’s focus is on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility; in the types of trips offered, you’ll find an opportunity for focus on each of these areas. Trips are developed by the Active Older Adult Department and are designed for a wide range of interests, ages, activity and mobility levels. Two-tiered pricing for one-day trips reflects a discount that is given to our YMCA of the Fox Cities’ members. There are many more benefits to being a member of the Y! Transportation for most trips (unless otherwise noted) is deluxe motorcoach. These buses come with the following amenities:

- Above-head storage space
Here are the answers to the most popular questions asked by our participants.
A paid registration is necessary to secure a seat for any trip. Trips may fill quickly, so register early. Please confirm that the Y has your current address, phone number and e-mail contact information.
REGISTRATION FOR ONE DAY TRIPS
Registration begins May 4 for all one-day trips. Detailed information for each registered trip will be emailed out in the form of a confirmation letter prior to the trip date. You can register:
- In-person with cash, check or credit card at any YMCA of the Fox Cities location.
- Online anytime at ymcafoxcities.org with a credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover).
REGISTRATION FOR OVERNIGHT TRIPS
All registration for overnight, flight-based Collette trips are continuous and are done directly through Jana Greenfield with Bon Voyage Boutique Travel. You may reach her by phone at 920.725.2880 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Jana can take your payment over the phone, or in-person at Bon Voyage Boutique Travel, 202 W. Wisconsin Ave, Neenah.
Prior to the trip, a mandatory pre-trip meeting will take place at a YMCA branch, to go over final details.

*Charges pre-paid by the Y, such as, but not limited to, theater tickets or cruise tickets are non-refundable and will not be included in the refund.

Milwaukee Brewers Game | Wednesday, May 18
Includes: deluxe transportation and game ticket
Head to Miller Park for a game between the Brewers and the Atlanta Braves. We will all cheer on the Brewers together in our shaded, Section 215. Lunch is on your own at the game, or you can choose to bring your own bagged lunch from home. The stadium is large and there will be some steps to negotiate, to get to your seats. “Let’s go out to the ballgame.”
Canceled: Lambeau Stadium Tour and Hall of Fame | Tuesday, May 24
Includes: deluxe transportation, tour of Lambeau Field and Hall of Fame admission
This legendary 2-hour tour will include about 1.5 miles of walking. Visit the Lambeau Field Atrium, premium seating levels, south end zone loft, Lee Remmel Press Box, visiting team locker room, player’s tunnel and field level. Afterward, explore the 15,000-square-foot, two-level Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame. A tribute to the greatest story in sports, the facility uses technology, enhanced interactive displays and a treasure trove of artifacts to educate and inspire visitors about the rich history of the Packers, as well as the teams of today. After a morning of walking, sit back and enjoy lunch (on your own) at 1919 Kitchen & Tap.

A beautiful day in Door County hitting all the best stops. Stop at the Wood Orchard Market; A unique place to find fresh produce, specialty food products, freshly-baked goods, home décor and gifts. Next, enjoy a guided tour at Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. Experience a scenic narrated tour atop the 225-foot Limestone Bluffs. Take a break for lunch at the English Inn. Top off your day with wine tasting at Orchard Country Winery before heading back to the Trolley Station.
Cranes and Lavender | Thursday, June 23

Tour the International Crane Foundation. This foundation, which has gone through a $10 million dollar renovation, allows you an opportunity to see these magnificent birds up close. You will have an opportunity to see all 15 living species of cranes- 11 of which are threatened or endangered. Enjoy lunch at Log Cabin Family Restaurant- Known for its fresh and homemade options. The afternoon will be spent at the New Life Lavender & Cherry Farm. Enjoy an educational presentation about lavender and cherries and set off on a wagon ride around 40 acres of land with breathtaking views of the Baraboo Bluffs. See their wildlife sanctuary for pollinators and observe the intricacies of a beehive. Enjoy a slice of their signature lavender cherry pie and don’t forget to pick up all your other lavender items in their store and bakery before heading home.

This Faire located in Bristol, Wisconsin is 30 acres of pure fun! The faire has 20 stages that offer a variety of entertainment all day long. In addition, they will dazzle you with a fully armored joust, the Queen and her glittering Court, amazing arts and crafts, delicious food, fine spirits, music, dance, parades, rides and games, and entertainers in the streets all day long. Experience the family-friendly interactive theater, entertainment, food and much more. The festival grounds are located in a large space and there may be walking in fields and uneven areas. This faire is living history with a twist of modern fusion.
House on the Rock | Monday, July 25

Alex Jordan’s awesome retreat built atop a chimney of rock opened to the public in 1960. The retreat was only the beginning. Alex used to explain his sprawling creation of collections, displays and galleries by saying that “one thing just sort of led to another.” On our self-guided tour, you will explore some of the most unique collections including the world’s largest carousel, a 200ft sea creature, automated music machines and much more. Enjoy a dinner out, on the way home. (Concession snacks will be available approximately halfway through your House on the Rock tour).
Wisconsin Maritime Museum at Manitowoc | Friday, August 12

Enjoy lunch at the Lighthouse Inn Water’s Edge Restaurant. Its panoramic windows overlooking Lake Michigan and large menu provide a great start to our day. Next, enjoy a 45-minute guided tour of a submarine. With over 60,000 square feet of space, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum explores the rich maritime history of Wisconsin through exciting and interactive exhibits. It also includes a unique collection of model ships and boats, an operating steam engine, displays of historic vessels and marine engines. Explore this beautiful space on your own, before we head back home. Make a pit stop on the way back for a sweet treat!

Shedd Aquarium and Chicago Skydeck | Thursday, September 15
Includes: deluxe transportation, aquarium admission, Skydeck admission and museum
Discover beluga whales and bluegills, rockhopper penguins and rockfish, alligators and an alligator snapping turtle, and so much more as you explore the world’s oceans, lakes, rivers and reefs — all in the heart of Chicago! Enjoy lunch on your own at either the Bubble Net food court or the Soundings Café. Get ready to jump back on the bus at 2 PM. Off to the Skydeck! View 4 different states from atop the second-tallest building in the western hemisphere. Walk across the Ledge Skydeck, a unique glass floor that provides an opportunity to “walk on air” above the city. It is the highest observation deck in the United States coming in at 1,353 feet high. Autumn Colors Train Ride | Saturday, October 8

Take a memorable, seven-mile, 55-minute round-trip train ride on a former branch line of the Chicago & North Western Railway nestled in a valley between the Baraboo Hills in rural Sauk County. There’s nothing comparable to enjoying the beautiful, brilliant hues of autumn in the Sauk County countryside from the comfort of our restored vintage passenger cars. Join us for “leafpeeping” in style along the unspoiled right-of-way of our historic former Chicago & North Western rail line. An authentically attired conductor will call “all aboard!” before the train leaves from a historic wooden depot, built in 1894. Mid-Continent is much more than just a train ride. Explore the indoor/outdoor museum filled with award-winning restorations and railroad exhibits. In all, there are over 40 train cars and locomotives on display and more under restoration.
Peninsula Players: A Murder for Two | Sunday, October 16

This side-splitting, mile-a-minute whodunit features two actors, thirteen characters and one piano! Officer Marcus Moscowitz seizes his moment when famous novelist Arthur Whitney is murdered at his own birthday party, and all the detectives are out of town! Marcus jumps at the chance to prove his sleuthing skills by interviewing the extravagant and outlandish suspects in an attempt to solve the crime before the real detectives arrive. Magnificent Mile - Chicago | Thursday, December 1

The tradition is back! You’ll take an express coach headed for a full day in downtown Chicago where you’ll be on your own for holiday shopping, dining and/or visiting attractions and museums. The Magnificent Mile is home to more than 450 stores, 275 restaurants and many other museums/attractions. All pretty magnificent, we think you’ll agree. A million white sidewalks! The shops and museums are diverse and it’s up to you what you choose to do. The holiday time brings many visitors so planning and reservations are recommended. There are multiple drop-off locations in the city on arrival, including museum drop-offs. At the end of the day, all travelers meet back at the original< drop-off point for the return home.
Fireside Dinner Theater: Irving Berlin’s White Christmas | Thursday, December 8
Includes: deluxe transportation, theater ticket and meal
Based on the beloved film starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, and Rosemary Clooney, this heartwarming stage adaptation features 17 Irving Berlin songs. Army veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act following their service in World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander. Enjoy a delicious meal and timeless holiday classic.
